Ford Mustang S550 15-23 Front Tension Rods
SPL S550 Ford Mustang Tension Rods (TR) provide front caster and anti-dive adjustment for the S550 Mustang, allowing for symmetrical and ideal caster angle on both sides. The stock mushy rubber bushing is replaced by a US-made, low friction, hardened FK spherical bearing to eliminate deflection and bind, resulting in improved handling, direct braking feel, and sharp steering.
Using a mixture of billet 2024-T351 aluminum, stainless steel, chromoly steel, and titanium results in strong, adjustable arms that are 8.0 lbs lighter than the stock steel S550 arms. Our 360° aluminum clamp design allows for fast, precise on-car adjustment by simply loosening two titanium Allen head cap screws and turning the arm. Once set, simply tighten the cap screws and you're done. No more fumbling wrenches trying to hold everything together while you tighten jam nuts.

IMPORTANT INSTALL INFO
KNUCKLE TAPER VARIATIONS
Ford made numerous variations of the front knuckles across the S550 Mustang and Shelby line-up. These knuckles vary across nameplates (Mach 1, GT350, etc), years (2019 vs 2020 GT350), and even options (Handling Pack 2, etc).
Each knuckle variant may have different conical tapered seats where the front control arms mount. It is VERY IMPORTANT to verify the supplied conical tapered spacer fits snuggly into the knuckle, has near zero lateral end play (as-in it will not rock within the bore), and seats fully into the knuckle when installed at the proper torque value.
INTERNAL RESEVOIR 2+ WAY SHOCKS
MCS internal resevoir 2-way adjustable shocks (2WNR / TT2), and potentially other struts/coilovers that extend well below the OEM length when installed, can lead to issues clearing our mounting studs. The remote resevoir MCS coilovers are compatible with our stud since they utilize a shorter shock body.
